Scotch Tasting with Jay Rissover

An Evening of History and Curated Tasting…
Dr. Jay Rissover developed an interest in Scotch whiskey when a friend introduced him to Glenfiddich in medical school. In the 45 years since, his collection of single malt Scotch has grown substantially. He has traveled to Scotland to tour distilleries, maintains a personal collection of over 70 single malt Scotches, and has led Scotch tastings for decades.
Dr. Rissover will lead us on an exploration of the history, production, and unique properties of Scotch, and the evening will culminate in a curated tasting of at least three single malt Scotches for all participants. The class will be limited to the first 40 registrants.
Speaker Bio
Dr Jay Rissover has recently retired from Internal Medicine after 36 years of practice in both his office and from inpatient medicine. During his career he also founded and ran a local charity, taught postgraduate medicine at a local hospital system, and directed Inpatient Medicine at a surgical hospital. He is a political activist, public speaker, and expert guest on television and radio. He also is a local musician, having performed numerous times over the past few years at the Art Walk at the Essex Studios and the Backlot Pizza/Acx Cinema in Blue Ash.
